What
better ways to explore writing than to read what writers write,
and write for readers to read? Campers discovered writers' secrets
by first reading for effective characteristics in published works
of fiction, then, experimenting with characterization, sensory images,
juicy word choice, good titles and more. Response groups provided
feedback for writers to consider when revising. Our blog served
as an extension of the response groups and expanded our audience
to both camps as well. We
were thrilled to explore and discover the diversity of writing personalities
demonstrated during our two weeks together. Through everyone's sharing
and support, writers' voices grew in strength and timbre.
