The
FVWP is an innovative effort between the University of Wisconsin
Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services and area schools.
Since 1986, we have served thounsands of teachers in Wisconsin through
our Summer Institute, Writing Conferences, and graduate courses.
The
Fox Valley Writing Project, an affiliate of the National
Writing Project, is a proven, professional program for kindergarten
through post-secondary teachers. Based on teachers teaching teachers,
this innovative effort between the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
College of Education and Human Services and area school districts
brings teachers together to share strategies to teach writing and
improve their personal writing skills.
Since
1986, this project has served thousands of teachers in Wisconsin.
Opportunities for teachers include The Summer
Institute, Writing Conferences,
book groups, and graduate courses held at various locations. The
goal of these events
is to positively impact the writing experiences of students in our
area.
We
believe writing is an integral part of the learning process in all
subjects at all grade levels. With this in mind, our programs provide
opportunities for teachers to grow as teachers of writing and as
writers themselves.
