SEED Grants from the National Writing Project
The Fox Valley Writing Project has been awarded a 2014-2016 Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) Grant for Developing Teacher Leaders, which will be used to hold an Invitational Summer Institute in the summer of 2016.
Other SEED Grants
- Washington Writing Institute, a professional development program conducted at Washington Elementary School in Oshkosh during the 2012-13 school year. K-5 teachers from that building implemented inquiry projects on topics such as conferencing, informational writing and opinion writing.
- Merrill Writing Institute, a year-long program (2013-14) for K-5 teachers led by a team of three FVWP teacher leaders. Teacher participants planned and implemented inquiry projects to improve their writing instruction and to develop their understandings of Common Core Literacy Standards.
- 2013 Advanced Institute held on campus at UW Oshkosh in Summer 2013 (June 15-18 and 22-25). 16 FVWP teacher leaders participated. The institute was led by Lisa Weiss, Paul Walter and Robyn Bindrich.
